Our day starts in the early morning with fresh ingredients. Civello's ravioli is hand-crafted from recipes of the old world.
Our recipes have been handed down to us from our parents and grandparents, who used the artisanal cooking traditions of Italy (particularly the southern regions and Sicily). Our homemade fillings feature the freshest seasonal ingredients from local Dallas purveyors. We originally sold only to Dallas’ finest restaurants, but now our handmade Italian foods are also available for walk-in customers and special orders.
Some of our 20-plus specialty ravioli flavors include traditional beef with spinach and Romano cheese; smoked chicken with red bell peppers; veal with marsala-seasoned mushrooms; nutty pumpkin in striped chili pasta; goat cheese with spinach and basil; and shrimp with basil and green onions.
To make the best ravioli you have to get up pretty early and roll out the dough!
We also feature Beef Ricotta, Meatballs, Manicotti, and homemade featured soups.
Born and raised in Dallas, Phil has a true passion for food. Phil's father was first in the restaurant business years ago with Vesuvio's and then opened Civello's Imports in early 1950's. His sister and wife made ravioli in a home kitchen and sold to customers through the import store where other restaurants began to buy as well.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
